Tussionex belongs to the family of drugs known as an Antihistaminic (H 1 -receptor) and antitussive drug or fever and pain-reducing medication drug and commonly used for the treatment and relieve the cough due to colds, influenza, or hay fever. Tussionex contains the active ingredients known as Chlorpheniramine and Hydrocodone.

Tussionex also used for treatment and relief of symptoms associated with the cough due to colds, influenza, or hay fever. But they are not to be used for the chronic cough that occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema or when there is an unusually large amount of mucus or phlegm with the cough.

Tussionex is an expectorant and used for the relief of those patients who suffered to the problems of chest congestion, unclear mucous and congestion associated with a cold, infections, or allergies.

Tussionex always takes under doctor's guidance. The recommended doses of Tussionex will be different for different patients, according to the requirements of each patient; you continue to take it for as long as your doctor prescribes, even if you do not feel an immediate benefit. Tussionex belongs to the family of drugs known as an Antihistaminic (H 1 -receptor) and antitussive drug or fever and pain-reducing medication drug and commonly used for the treatment and relieve the cough due to colds, influenza, or hay fever. Tussionex contains the active ingredients known as Chlorpheniramine and Hydrocodone.

Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine. Chlorpheniramine blocks the effects of the naturally occurring chemical known as histamine in the body. Chlorpheniramine prevents sneezing; itchy, watery eyes and nose; and other symptoms of allergies and colds.

Hydrocodone is a pain reliever and a cough suppressant. Hydrocodone suppresses an area in the brain that causes coughing.

Chlorpheniramine and Hydrocodone are also used together to treat nasal congestion and coughs associated with allergies and the common cold or other infections of the lungs and breathing tubes.
