Lotensin

Lotensin, a Drug consisting of Benazepril compound, is an antihypertensive and is commonly used for controlling the Blood Pressure Level. Lotensin/Benazepril is also known as ACE Inhibitor, where ACE is a group of medicines called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. • Lotensin/Benazepril is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) : Blood pressure is the pressure at which heart pumps the blood from body organ to other. This blood pressure helps move the blood all around one’s body. The blood pressure of one’s body generally differs at different times of the day. The problem occurs when the amount of pressure rises from the normal, and if this increase stays for a longer time, it may be life threatening. This is called high blood pressure or hypertension. • Lotensin/Benazepril is also used for the treatment of congestive heart failure : Heart failure means that the heart muscle is weak and cannot pump blood strongly enough to supply all the blood needed throughout the body. Heart failure is not the same as heart attack and does not mean that the heart stops. Heart failure may start off with no symptoms, but as the condition progresses, patients may feel short of breath or may get tired easily after light physical activity such as walking. Lotensin/Benazepril is also used to treat heart failure.

Lotensin/Benazepril has been very successfully used for the treatment of high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases.

How Lotensin works?

Lotensin is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension). Lotensin/Benazepril works in a very similar way just like other ACE inhibitors work. There are usually no symptoms of hypertension.
