La Roche-Posay Active C Light has the same vitamin C efficacy as Active C Facial Skincare in a new lighter texture. It also contains L-ascorbic acid plus oil absorbants to provide comfort in a non-oily texture. This preparation is quick absorbing, gentle and ultra-matifying.
To help inhibit oxidation, Le-Roche Posay has developed a special formula by binding water to polyols in order to limit its availability in oxidative chemical reactions. These polyols promote Vitamin C's penetration of the skin by retaining water molecules within their chemical structure, so that they will not contribute to vitamin C oxidation. La Roche Posay Thermal Water, contained in Active-C is rich in Selenium, an antioxidant which reinforces the active properties of vitamin C.
