Norvasc Side Effects

During clinical trials of more than 11,000 patients, treatment with Norvasc was generally well-tolerated at doses up to 10 mg daily. Most side effects reported during therapy with Norvasc were of mild or moderate severity. In controlled clinical trials directly comparing Norvasc in doses up to 10 mg with a placebo, discontinuation of Norvasc due to side effects was required in only about 1.5% of patients and was not significantly different from the placebo. The most common side effects are headache and edema. Additional side effects of Norvasc were:
