Lisinopril Information
Lisinopril is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It decreases certain chemicals that tighten the blood vessles, so blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. Lisinopril is administered as a tablet that is taken orally. It is usually taken once a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your health care provider to explain any part you do not understand. Take Lisinopril exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your health care provider.
