The Canadian government has put a ceiling on drug prices. This practice restricts the prices that drug
manufacturers can charge for their products. The Canadian government also allows generic drug companies to
manufacture generic equivalents a lot sooner than in the US. The favorable exchange rate between the
American and Canadian dollar allows for greater purchasing power for Americans!

Unfortunately we cannot accept American insurance claims. There are some insurance companies in the
United States that deal with Canadian pharmacies and have programs set up to help their customers who
purchase medication from Canada. We can provide you with any proof of purchase and/or receipts that you
may require in order for you to make your insurance claim. We encourage you to ask your insurance
company for more information.

Once ABC Online Pharmacy has received your order, valid picture ID and prescription(s), our Canadian doctor will review and co-sign them and send them back to our Canadian pharmacy. We will then start to process your order for shipment. Orders are shipped out of the Canadian pharmacy within 14 days. You should receive your order within 5-7 business days after we have shipped it out of our Canadian pharmacy. We always recommend that you order your medication 4 – 5 weeks in advance before your current supply runs out. You may sign in to view your account at any time. A tracking number for your order will be posted on your account after it has been shipped. A tracking number is not provided for orders that are shipped outside of Canada, but they generally take about 10-12 business days to arrive.
If you have run out of your medication, please purchase a sufficient supply from your local pharmacy to
last you until your order arrives.

Generic drugs are identical, or bioequivalent to brand name drugs in dosage form, safety, strength,
route of administration, quality, performance, and intended use. Although generic drugs are chemically
identical to their branded counterparts, they are available at substantial discounts from the branded
price.

A company, which first discovers a drug, secures a patent for that drug allowing it to be the only company that is allowed to manufacture and market that drug. When the brand name drug’s patent expires, other manufacturers can apply to the FDA or Health Canada to sell the generic versions. In order to gain the FDA or Health Canada’s approval, a generic drug must meet certain requirements. A generic drug must:
- contain the same active ingredients as the brand name drug
- be identical in strength, dosage form, and route of administration
- have the same use indications
- meet the same batch requirements for identity, strength, purity, and quality
- be manufactured under the same strict standards of FDA and Health Canada’s manufacturing practice regulations required for brand name drugs.
Please note that depending on patent laws, there are certain generic drugs available in the United
States, which are not available in Canada. On the same note, there might be certain generic drugs
available in Canada that may not be available in the United States. Our website is set up so that all
brand and generic drug combinations are displayed together for easier price comparisons.

Yes. Generic drugs are just as safe and effective as their brand name counterparts are. The generic
drugs available in Canada are subject to the same stringent approval and regulatory process as brand name
drugs or generic drugs in the USA. Millions of Canadians prefer to use generic drugs simply because they
are available at a much more affordable price while providing the same therapeutic effect as brand name
drugs.

Yes. The pills you receive from www.abc-online-pharmacy.com may look different if a different drug
company manufactures them. Although the pills may look different, they contain the exact same chemical
ingredients, which are present in the pills available in the US. Most of the brand name drugs that you
order will probably look the same and come in the same packaging because the same company may make them.

There are certain drugs that are available in the US but are not available in Canada. Under such
circumstances, www.abc-online-pharmacy.com will contact your doctor to authorize another therapeutically
equivalent drug that is available in Canada. If your doctor does not wish to authorize this change,
legally we cannot dispense your prescription. Note: Some brand name drugs in the USA are available under
different trade names in Canada. For example, Prilosec in the USA is called Losec in Canada.

No. We cannot transfer prescriptions directly from American pharmacy. We must have a faxed, or
original copy of your prescription written by your licensed doctor in the United States. To save you the
trouble of obtaining another prescription, we can contact your doctor on your behalf to obtain the
necessary prescription directly from him or her.

It is extremely easy to pay because we accept all major credit cards. If you are paying by credit card, your credit card information is accepted through a secure shopping cart. You may also pay with a personal certified check or money order. If you are sending us a check or money order, please be aware that it may take us a longer time to process your order due to payment clearing delays. For more information, contact one of our Customer Service Representatives.
Also, please note that if you are paying with a credit card, we strongly recommend that you use a Visa
card as we can debit your account in US currency. For all other credit cards, including American Express,
MasterCard, and Discover, www.abc-online-pharmacy.com will debit your account in Canadian funds.
The merchant rate prevailing on the day of the transaction (usually the date of shipment) will be the
exchange rate used to convert your order total into a Canadian amount. The final amount that you will see
on your credit card statement will in a US currency but it may be different from the amount we debited
your account. This is because your Credit Card Company or bank may use a different rate to re-convert the
amount into US funds. You should consult your issuing bank concerning their policies on charging your
credit card in Canadian Funds if there are any discrepancies. However, if you are using a Visa card or a
certified check, you do not have to worry about this.
