Mesalt Dressing

Mesalt is a dry, sterile, rayon/polyvester nonwoven gauze dressing impregnated with 15% crystalline sodium chloride. Mesalt should be applied to dry to moderate or heavily discharging wounds. As it absorbs wound drainage, the crystalline sodium chloride dissolves to create a hypertonic environment that naturally wicks drainage, edema, and debris from the wound into the dressing to support the wound's natural cleansing mechanism while providing a moist wound environment.
