Jack & Jill Children's Formula Cough LiquidThis pleasant tasting, cherry flavoured cough suppressant provides fast, effective relief of children's dry coughs, sneezing and runny noses due to colds.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING
Directions:
To be administrated every 4 hours as required.
Children 12 years and over (95 lb, 43 kg): 2 teaspoons (10 mL).
Children 6-11 years (48-95 lb, 22-43 kg): 1 teaspoons (5 mL).
Children 2-5 years (24-47 lb, 11-21 kg): 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL).
Children under 2 years (under 24 lb, 11 kg): consult a physician.
Maximum 4 doses/day.
Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains: 7.5 mg Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, 2 mg Chlorpheniramine Maleate
Caution:
Do not exceed the recommended dosage. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough worsens, lasts more than 7 days, or is accompanied by high fever, consult a physician. If you have chronic lung disease, shortness of breath, persistent or chronic cough, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty in urination due to prostatic enlargement or if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a physician before using this product. May cause drowsiness or excitability. Determine the effect of this medication before engaging in activities requiring mental alertness. Avoid alcoholic beverages and use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery while taking this product. Do not take with other antihistamines or other sedating drugs. Prolonged use should only be on the advice of a physician. Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a physician before taking this product.
