DESCRIPTION: Desocort (Desonide) is a topical corticosteroid for mild to moderate steroid responsive dermatosis.CORTICOSTEROID FOR TOPICAL USE. NOT FOR OPHTHALMIC USE.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Desocort (Desonide) should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily depending on the severity of the condition. If using Desocort (Desonide) lotion, shake well before using.
Occlusive dressings may be used for the management of psoriasis or recalcitrant conditions.
If an infection develops, the use of occlusive dressings should be discontinued and appropriate antimicrobial therapy instituted.
MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: DESOCORT contains desonide 0.05%.
Desocort (Desonide) Cream contains citric acid, emulsifying wax, isopropyl palmitate, polysorbate 60, propyl gallate, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium hydroxide, stearic acid and synthetic beeswax.
